Gearing up for SXSW Part 4: Through the Sparks

A band with which Red Blondehead is fairly well connected and whose upcoming debut full-length album we are excited about is Through the Sparks. The record, to be released in early May, is unavailable for public consumption (only in the good ole US of A do we consume music like it's umm... chocolate. chocolate, right?) for now, but we've got a couple of b-sides for you to hear in the meantime.

We can say this, though: the new record, while just as full of infectious melodies as the EP and the demo collection released, is a much more layered production than past efforts. We can't wait for you to hear it.

Through the Sparks will be playing SXSW Wednesday, March 14 at Habana Calle 6 Annex at 10:00 p.m. Here are a few tracks for your current uh... consumption.

Invisible Kid (alternative version)
From Where I'm Going (alternate from AudioIotas)
Lay, Lady Lay (Dylan cover)

Also, tune in to al.com for our SXSW coverage with the band. We'll update as often as we can.
